You can put all the bling you want on that big baby blue z1000
it still won't be a VFR.
What happened to the man that would ride all day and half the night on a
zx-10?
Sounds like someone's gettting old to me.

Ever hear that song "Tilsonburg" by Stompin' Tom??....part of the chorus is: "My back still aches when I hear that word"....muahahaha. As much as I love the look of that first gen ZX-10, my body still hurts when I hear that word....lol.VFRPAT";p="124299 wrote:What happened to the man that would ride all day and half the night on a

Bit of an old bump, but I picked up a Nuvi 550 myself today. Was going to pick up a GPS for the sole purpose of not getting lost in Montreal again when I drive back to NS from AB next week. Figured I might as well get a waterproof one I can mount on the bike too...

Did you get it at the same place I got mine? GPScentral in Calgary?WU wrote:Bit of an old bump, but I picked up a Nuvi 550 myself today. They seem swell to do business with...I bought all my RAM mount gear and accessories from them as well. The cradle and hardwire kit for the 550 works very well too.
I even have all the RAM gear so that I can mount my XM radio next to the GPS...it's gonna look like the cockpit of an airplane for my next trip....well, maybe one of those old barn stormers with no windshield...lol.

Yep, I was going to pick it up at their showroom, but with packing/etc for the move, I don't have time to head down there during their business hours. Ordered it over the phone at lunch time, should have it tomorrow, or Wednesday.
I'll wait and see what I end up on for a bike this season before I decide how to mount it, but I've got a decent stem mount that I might try and use depending on what I'm riding. Otherwise, I'll buy/devise some mounting system...

Speaking of throttle rockers... anyone know where I can pick one up locally? Valley or in the city.

There's a good chance one of the local shops will have one kicking around. Have you tried calling?

Ventura Luggage System (Which gives me some extra carrying capacity, and a small rack to mount an aux fuel jug...lol) Thanks ns_red_zed;-)
Nice RACK to mount your GEAR on that thing Cory!
The bike looks bitchin', as the MotoUSA ol'boys would have said.
I look forward to the touring pictures to top up the ones from the last summer.

Brother Rembrant
the bike looks amazing. i rode nas's once, what a powerhouse of a bike.
those hand guards are an awesome addition. i rode to truro yesterday and have to say in the AM, the ride was not fun because of the cold.
bike looks great tho

Brother reef..
Nas is a pretty cool cat...with a cool bike...lol. Was definitely sad to see him go.
So far, I'm lovin' the hand guards...between them, and the heated grips, it's all golden:)
Leaving, one month from tomorrow, for North Carolina and points beyond...can't wait...it's going to be a hell of a road trip. Stay tuned for the pics.
