Hey Dwight,
You're gettin' that R6 all pimped out eh??....Lookin' good!
There were some reasonably priced HID's on Ebay that were motorcycle specific (compact ballasts and harnesses, etc). Not like the old days...the boys used to install generic car HID's on bikes....was a little tough trying to mount all the big stuff in there...lol.
Kits like this are more of a generic set-up based on the bulb size, not the vehicle, bikes, etc:

Try and look for a motorcycle specific kit, or a super-slim kit like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Slim-HID-Xenon-Conv ... 4745wt_958
Like I said, finding a good place to mount the ballasts is the hard part....not sure how much room you have behind the plastics on your R6.

Also try DDM Tuning. They have Bike Kits too, with a lifetime warranty on Ballasts AND bulbs. My kit for Dual H7 Bulbs was 59.00 for the 55 watt 5000K set, with digital slim ballasts. Avoid the analog ballasts if possible. I am picking my kit up today from UPS.
On a side note, I found out that ALL motorcycle parts are exempt from Duty.

Does the R6 have the high beam and low beam in the same bulb?
It makes a big difference. My Gixxer has the high and low in the same bulb (which makes it super bright now), but you will require an extra control box that you will have to hide. It tells the bulbs whether they are firing on high or low.
Here is a nice link with nice wiring diagrams on it if you need the controller. The "relay" is needed if the bulb fires high and low.

They are definitely worth the mod though. They will light up construction signs on the side of the road from 100m on low beam in the day time. I think 5000k is the legal limit, after that you're burning everyone's retinas out

Try Slinger Cycles in Dartmouth, he may have some.

If you are doing eBay, just be careful of the shipping charges.
Example, I bought a set of 9007 6000K bulbs and ballasts for $4.99 LOL!!!
That's right $4.99!!! Shipping and handling (packaging) was $62.00 US lol.
I literally just put them in my Jetta about 10 mins ago, as they arrived last night.
So for $67 US I have HID's in the car finally. The driver side bulb was burned out so I had to replace it anyways.

This guy is wicked sketchy with replying to you, I suspect he no speaka ingleesh maybe???
But he does or did sell the high/low beam kits.
Anyways mine arrived last night after almost 2 weeks lol.
The model I ordered doesn't have the high beam but I'm cool with that for now.
If I miss the high beam option I'm throwin' this set into the van and will order a high/low package.
In the spring/summer me and another fella from this forum went splits on an identical set (different model bulb but the same ballast construction) for the bikes and there was more than enough room for this ballast under the front cowl.
I think it came out to $80 Cdn - so $40 each for the HID upgrade which is worth it.
I don't often ride at night and on the ZX-6r it's a left side low beam and right side high beam system, so I just replaced the low beam left side halogen for 1 unit from the HID kit and he took the other unit and did the same on his bike (Hayabusa I believe it was). I've not had a reason to use the high beam yet lol.
For what it's worth, my bike had no problem passing the MVI with the HID's inside.
Not sure they even noticed.
Good luck with the search!

From the research I did, the 4300 to 5000K range is the truest to daylight and best color range for lighting. As you go into the higher range, you move towards blue then to purple, and the effective light range decreases. I can't see it being a huge difference, but the loss of range plus the possibility of getting hassled with tickets and MVI made me choose the 5000k set. Just some food for thought.
